"Before I came to Vaughan I lived in a Melb flat and worked all day in an office.
Now my most important work is planting and looking after the vegie garden.
I grow organically without chemicals. It is a wild unruly garden with limited water available from an old well....... and produces ABUNDANTLY.
I enjoy the new challenge of making jam, sauce and chutney and preserving fruit and vegetables: some mistakes and learning experiences.
Very much aware of the weather and the seasons. I find this era of retirement in Vaughan very satisfying and peaceful."
